IPNEWS: A Montserrado Grand Jury has indicted 10 defendants — George Wah Harris (Leroy Harris), Paul Jamaal King, Philip Yeoh Jr., Mohammed O. Gbowrah, Moses Jallah, Michael U.S. Brown (Rahim/Raheem Bah), Polo Bah, Oscar J. Brown, Usman Ali, and a private bar operator yet to be identified — in what prosecutors describe as a 200‑kilogram cocaine trafficking scheme involving false cargo declarations, alleged airport links, and a dramatic US$100,000 bribe attempt to reclaim the seized drugs.
Prosecutors say the cocaine was packed in six boxes falsely labeled as Maggi cubes and lappas, routed through the Old Road residence of Paul King, an operations manager at Global Logistics Services, before being moved to Roberts International Airport for shipment to Heathrow with a consignee in Birmingham.
Airport security flagged the cargo on June 7, allegedly uncovering a white powder later identified as cocaine. Investigators say suspects then scrambled to “fix” the situation — including an alleged US$100K offer by George Harris to LDEA officers and an alleged US$5K inducement to officer Moses Jallah.
The indictment also references a similar four‑box shipment in May and alleges involvement by former RIA employee Michael U.S. Brown in both the movement and attempted recovery of the cargo.
All defendants remain presumed innocent as Criminal Court “C” prepares to hear what prosecutors portray as a coordinated trafficking and bribery operation with alleged links to cargo handlers and airport personnel.
