IPNEWS: Former Foreign Minister and current Grand Bassa County Senator, Gbehzohngar Milton Findley has vowed to remain firm in his representation of the people of Grand Bassa, declaring that no one will intimidate him or prevent him from speaking on behalf of his constituents.
Speaking during a conversation with panelists of The Closing Argument, Senator Findley said his responsibility to the people of Grand Bassa is a mandate he takes seriously and will continue to pursue regardless of criticism or pressure.
Senator Findley stressed that representing the Bassa people is not merely a political obligation but a responsibility that must be fulfilled. He said he will continue to advocate for the interests and needs of his constituents and work to ensure that their concerns are addressed.
He maintained that the people of Grand Bassa deserve effective and fearless representation, adding that he will use his position in the Senate to ensure that issues affecting the county receive the necessary attention at the national level.
On the issue of port decentralization, Senator Findley disclosed that he did not initially support the decision to decentralize Liberia’s ports. However, he acknowledged that President Joseph Boakai, in his wisdom, determined that the country’s ports should be decentralized.
According to Findley, the President’s position is that each port should operate independently and be managed on its own, a policy direction that he said he recognizes despite his earlier reservations about the decentralization initiative.
