‎IPNEWS: Senator Prince Kermue Moye, Sr., has called for greater unity and collaboration among members of the Unity Party Legislative Caucus, stressing that solidarity will be essential to advancing the government’s agenda and positioning the party for the 2029 general elections.

‎‎Speaking during the Unity Party’s 55th Legislative Caucus strategy Retreat in Gbarnga, held under the theme, “Fostering Legislative Caucus Solidarity Towards 2029,” Moye said lawmakers must prioritize collective action over individual interests to strengthen the caucus and ensure effective governance.

‎The Bong senator emphasized that the legislature’s success depends on teamwork, warning that divisions within the caucus could undermine both the institution and the administration’s development agenda.

‎”Our strength lies in our ability to work together as one team,” Moye said, noting that unity within the caucus is critical to delivering development initiatives across the country and supporting President Joseph Boakai’s national priorities.

    ‎

He underscored the importance of transparency, trust, and mutual commitment among members, arguing that public confidence in the government is closely linked to the cohesion of the legislative caucus.

    ‎

Senator Moye described the upcoming reconfiguration of legislative committees and leadership positions as a crucial test for the alliance.

    ‎

‎According to him, the process could generate grievances among lawmakers, but he urged members to address disagreements through dialogue rather than allowing them to create divisions.

    ‎

‎The Unity Party 2023 campaign Chair also called for the establishment of mechanisms to hear and resolve concerns, saying such measures would help preserve unity during what he described as a critical period for the caucus.

He warned that internal division poses the greatest threat to the Unity Party’s political future, maintaining that sustained solidarity, open communication, and collective planning are essential to achieving the caucus’ legislative objectives and strengthening the party’s prospects heading into 2029.

    ‎

‎ The Unity Party’s 55th Legislative Caucus Strategy Retreat brought together lawmakers, Vice President Jeremiah Koung, and party leaders from across Liberia in Gbarnga, Bong County, to discuss legislative priorities and strengthen cooperation within the caucus and support the re-election of President Joseph Nyumah Boakai, Sr.
