Representative Honorable Jerry K Yorgboh Under Fire in District No. 12

—As Citizens Reject Representative Gesture Over several allegations

Several Citizens of District 12, Montserrado County say recent engagements by their Representative Honorable Jerry K Yorgboh office and installation of solar lights installation are not welcome and calling on the District 12 Representative to do more than erection of street lights as ‘they can never be fooled by planting two or three solar lights in the District’, after abandoning them for many months.

The District No.12 Citizens are demanding Hon. Yorgboh to show them all the promises given during the Campaign and assure him that those promises will not go unnoticed but will hunt him at the polls comes 2029.

“Despite keeping your feet to the fire it’s good to see you engaging with local companies to discuss initiatives that can benefit District 12.

However, we can’t help but notice a significant disconnect between the issues you’ve now chosen to address and the concerns that many of us have been raising for quite sometime.

Your recent meeting suggests that the suggestions we put forth were not only valid but necessary for the wellbeing of our community.

If we were “lying” about the needs of district 12, why has there now been a sudden shift in focus to educational programs, disaster management, and sanitation areas we have long highlighted?

We appreciate the effort to strengthen partnerships, but it’s crucial that these initiatives translate into real timely actions that directly benefit our constituents.

We’re hopeful that this meeting marks a turning point in your commitment to genuinely engage with our community’s concerns and needs.” A concern citizen of District No. 12 told Newsmen on condition of anonymity

Neither Representative Jerry K Yorgboh, nor his office responded to IPNEWS inquires of alleged abandonment and refusal to uphold election promises up to press time.

Earier August 2025, some group of concerned residents from District 12, Montserrado County, issued a strong statement of dissatisfaction, accusing their district representative, Hon. Jerry K. Yorgboh Sr., of abandonment, deception, and a continued failure to address critical issues affecting the constituency.

In a public release, the citizens expressed “profound disappointment” over what they describe as “consistent poor leadership” on the part of Representative Yorgboh. They claim that under his tenure, essential community needs such as education, healthcare, public safety, and infrastructure development have been grossly neglected.

“The lack of responsiveness to the pressing issues facing our district is not only alarming but also unacceptable,” the statement read. “These issues have been consistently overlooked, demonstrating a clear disregard for the well-being of the people who elected this representative to serve them.”

The group further criticized the representative for what they describe as a failure to engage with residents and maintain open communication. This, they say, reflects a larger problem ~ a disconnect from the constituents he was elected to serve.

“Leadership is about accountability, integrity, and a commitment to progress, none of which have been evident in his actions,” the statement continued. “We are calling for a leader who will stand up for the community, listen to its residents, and take decisive action to address our collective concerns.”

The release ended with a call to action, urging other residents to join in demanding better representation and holding leaders accountable for their performance.

“Because Hon. Jerry K. Yorgboh Sr. has failed us and dashed our hopes and aspirations, this is a call for the people’s action,” the group declared.

There has been no immediate response from Representative Yorgboh or his office regarding the allegations.

District 12, located in Montserrado County, is home to a vibrant and diverse population, many of whom say they are eager for a shift in leadership that prioritizes transparency, accessibility, and meaningful development.
