—–Attacks on Freeman are False and politically motivated
The Youth Alliance of the Movement for Progressive Change (MPC), of businessman Simeon Freeman strongly condemn recent misleading and politically charged statement released by a group calling itself the “Coalition of Civil Society Network of Liberia.”
Youth Alliance of the Movement in a statement urged the Coalition of Civil Society Network of Liberia, to come clear and be genuine groupo then a brieifcase organization.
“It is a belly-driven association made up of a few individuals using the name of civil society to beg for political favors and brown envelopes. Their wheelbarrow isn’t filled with solutions for the Liberian people — it’s filled with their own empty stomachs and selfish interests.
Where was this so-called “civil society” group when a young girl was allegedly raped by a high-level government official? Where were they when the Capitol Building was set on fire, threatening our national democracy? Where were their voices when the drug epidemic started swallowing the dreams of young Liberians, including children in slum communities?
Nowhere to be found. Not a press release, not a protest, not even a whisper.
But today, they have suddenly found their voice — not to defend the people, not to confront injustice, but to attack Simeon Freeman, a peaceful, private Liberian who has been working to lift up the poor and give voice to the voiceless.” The Youth Alliance of the Movement challenged the authenticity of the Coalition of Civil Society Network of Liberia group.
The Youth Alliance of the Movement further stated that Mr. Freeman is a self-made Liberian entrepreneur who continue to create jobs at a time when the government couldn’t even pay salaries.
“He-Freeman has personally supported young Liberians through mentorship, skills training, and community development projects. And unlike the political elite who pretend to care, Mr. Freeman dares to speak the truth about how our national budget is being abused — including the over $3 million allocated to Vice President Jeremiah Koung, which this same “civil society” group conveniently refuses to talk about.
They say Freeman promised to build a city — Freeman City — and they laugh. But what have they built? What do they offer to the young people wasting away in ghettos, with no hope and no help? Instead of proposing solutions, they sit on the sidelines and attack the only people trying to make a real difference.” A statement by The Youth Alliance stated.
The youth group urged Mr. Freeman to continue the message to the People — Especially the Youth.
“Don’t be distracted by greedy gatekeepers pretending to be civil society leaders. These people only make noise when their political masters tell them to bark. They are silent on corruption. They are blind to injustice. They ignore youth unemployment, the drug crisis, broken schools, and clinics that can’t save lives.
But when someone like Simeon Freeman — a man not part of their corrupt club — dares to speak and act differently, they come crawling out to tear him down.
We, the young people of MPC, proudly stand behind Simeon Freeman because he has something most politicians and fake activists lack: integrity and vision. His record speaks louder than their propaganda.
The so-called “Coalition” of Civil Society is not here for the people. They are here for their paymasters. They are not watchdogs — they are lapdogs.
Liberians must open their eyes. Judge a man not by rumors, but by what he’s done. Simeon Freeman has shown us that he is serious about building a Liberia that works for everyone — especially the forgotten poor.” The Youth Alliance of the Movement for Progressive Change (MPC) statement concludes.
Last weekend, Mr. Simeon CM Freeman, leader of the Movement for Progressive Change (MPC), has promised to help young people in Grand Bassa County by offering free vocational training and donating LRD 100,000 to support youth activities.
Freeman made the announcement on Friday, September 19, 2025, during a visit to Electoral District #5 in Gio Town. The event was organized by the “Friends of Ben Banny,” a local political group. Ben Banny, a former candidate in the 2023 elections, invited Freeman and helped launch the community event, which included a day-long sports tournament sponsored by Freeman.
Speaking to a crowd of residents, Freeman said it’s time for leaders to invest in the youth and women of Liberia. “It’s time political leaders and parties invest in the young people and the women of Liberia,” he stated.
Freeman also shared concerns about past elections, saying votes should be respected. “The people can’t be voting and at the end their votes are not respected,” he said.
As part of his long-term plans, Freeman said he will visit all counties ahead of the 2029 elections. He hopes to run for president in 2030.
During the event, residents of District #5 made several requests. They asked Freeman to help support students, build a modern town hall, and improve the local market. Women in the district also asked for hygiene supplies and better conditions for selling their goods.
The youth president of Gio Town, Emmanuel Swee, thanked Freeman and asked him to continue helping the district, especially in education and skills training.
“We are happy that you are here to listen to us and our concerns, since after the election you are the first and only presidential candidate to visit us here in our struggling district and we will not forget all what you have done and what you are about to do for us here,” he said.
Freeman said he is committed to helping the community and will support the launch of the vocational program in Gio Town. The program is expected to teach young people useful job skills and give them a better future.
