Speaking from his official office at New Georgia Junction over the weekend, the President of Liberia Scrap Dealers Association, Ayouba Kamara appreciated all Muslims for their courage to diligently observe the HAJJ Festival which was climaxed by Abraham’s Day. Apploying all Muslims, Kamara most especially, recognized the significant accomplishments of all Isamic members of the Liberia Scrap Dealers Association doing the observance of the HAJJ.
The LSDA President encourages everyone to prioritise love for one another most especially, in business. More emphasising, he said, members of the association should abstain from jealousy and stand firm to uphold love, unity and patriotism in other to promoting peace. Reiterating, Kamara said, any environment where there is no love, there is always the abstinence of peace.
Meanwhile, Ayouba Kamara streesed the need for all scrap dealers to remain steadfast and determine in their undertakings as his leadership remains committed to moving the association to an ethical standard.
With a firm conviction, he said, the leadership of the LSDA will remain more steadfast to decentralising the institution. Making reference to the association profound workings of decentralization, Kamara said, he and his team were able to have recently taken a tour in Nimba, Sinoe and Grand Gedeh where they met there with their with Scrap workers and assured the government that members of the association there are doing extremely well.
Meanwhile, the Scrap Dealers Assosiation President of Liberia, called on the government of Liberia to work in collaboration with the LSDA to enhancing growth in order to improve the livelihood of liberians mostly, disadvantage youths. Kamara said, the Scrap Dealers Association has a long, short and medium term plans to rehabilitating disadvantage youths, some of whom are engaged into picking scraps.
As Part of his commitment to butressing government’s effort, Kamara said, his institution is working in partnership with both government Ministries and agencies as they are as well being regulated. These Ministries and agencies including; GSA, National Investment Commission, Public Works, Ministry of Justice Safety Department, Ministry of Finance and Planning, Ministry of Mines and Energy and Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation(LWSC). Further speaking, he lamented, he and his leadership recently met at the Ministry of Public Works, with the minister proper of the Ministry of Public Works, Minister Roland Giddings, were they discussed with him scrap activities. According to him, the minister said, they are more concern about infrastructure they are constructing for the good of the public thereby, asking the LSDA to help wash over these developments to curtailing individuals who abstracting government infrastructure.
On the other hand, the LSDA President said, he and his team were Previleged to have also recently sat with the Ministry of Justice Safety Department as delegation from the Ministry were more concern about people removing electric wire from light poles and scraping other things that are relevant to the public.
Mr. Ayoubah Kamara who has been proactive with the LSDA since his ascendency to the presidency of the institution, stressed out his zects for humanitarianism. Kamara said, recently, his institution donated, through both the Ministries of Justice and Public Works to the Liberia Water and Sewer(LWSC), fifty pieces of cemented man hole tops. He said, prior to the donation, the LSDA installed man hole tops from Logan’s Town to the Gabriel Tucker Bridge.
