—-Vows to Institute Legal Action for defamation of character
Public opinion might be shifting hours after the Front Page Africa Newspaper reported on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, an alleged involvement of an American national, Leonard Wayne Kragness, in a conspiracy involving Koisee I. N. Garmo, II, and others without investigating the facts.
Now, the an unimpeaceble source at the Ministry of Mines and Energy tells the authoritative Interdependent Probe Newspaper that the report is totally false and misleading and is clouded with inaccuracies to the Public, and warns the public not to give it credence, especially information given to both local and international media by Fida Sardor Hussian claiming that he owns three mineral blocks in Liberia.
A investigation by IPNEWS reveals that Mr. Leonard Wayne Kragness along with Liberian nationals Koisee I. N. Garmo, II and Fahn Garmo were never indicted for allegedly defrauding a foreign Company and the Government of Liberia over US$4.8 billion in mineral assets and Revenue as reported by FPA. The three individuals mentioned in the FPA committed no ‘Crime against any Foreign Company owned by Mr. Fida Sardar Hussain neither have they committed any crime against the Government of Liberia.
IPNEWS in collaboration with other investigative Newspapers, uncovered that the Ministry responsible for awarding Mineral Block License in Liberia is the Ministry of Mines and Energy; and according to the records at the Ministry of Mines and Energy, seen by our team of investigators, Mr. Fida Sardar Hussain does not own any three (3) mineral blocks valued at estimated US$4,819,3121,807.
The investigation further reveal that all the information Mr. Fida Sardar Hussain provided to the Monrovia City court as contained in the Writ of Arrest are false and incorrect. ‘Mr. Leonard Wayne Kragness along with Koisee I. N. Garmo, II and Fahn Garmo were wrongly accused by Fida Sardor Hussian’ a source fully aware about the interaction tells IPNEWS.
Koisee I. N. Garmo, II for his part, clarified that neither he or Fahn Garmo know the Complainant-Mr. Fida Sardar Hussain.
“ Fida Sardar Hussain is a dishonest individual misrepresenting the facts. At no time had he ever hired Mr. Garmo to render him any legal service; prior to his complaint, they have never seen him or interacted with him in any manner or form directly or indirectly; However, Koisee I. N. Garmo, II., performed legal services for his client Mr. Leonard Wayne Kragness in 2022. All documents were legal and properly notarized as required by law. At no time was any document forged as was stated in the frontpage newspaper article”. .Koisee I. N. Garmo, II, insisted.
Document seen by IPNEWS reveals that Mr. Leonard Wayne Kragness and Mr. Fida Sardar Hussain had a previous business relationship in a company that held a mining license from the Ministry of Mines and Energy which expired and was terminated.
Additionally, the investigation revealed that on July 16, 2024, Greenstone Resources Liberia Limited a 100% Liberian own company applied to the Ministry of Mines and Energy, through their lawyer Mr. Koisee I.N. Garmo, II. for exploration concession license. And because the mining area in question was vacant, the Ministry of Mines and Energy awarded said vacant area to the Liberian own company Greenstone Resources Liberia Limited, who had met all the requirements for obtaining the license, and for the purpose of promoting Liberian owned business in the mining sector.
A trusted source from the Ministry of Mines narrates: “The whole issue of falsely accusing Mr. Leonard Wayne Kragness, Mr. Koisee I. N. Garmo, II. and Mr. Fahn Garmo of Criminal conspiracy, criminal facilitation, forgery and theft of property in the amount of $US4.8 billion dollars is because the Government of Liberia through the Ministry of Mines and Energy awarded the concession area to Greenstone Resources Liberia Limited. This so-called $US4.8 billion dollars theft is the assumption made by this so-called foreign investor Mr. Fida Sardor Hussian that the license area awarded to Greenstone resources limited values minerals within said amount, which Mr. Fida Sardar Hussain has been using to extort money from potential foreign investors. And, therefore, has been terrorizing this Liberian owned business to relinquish the license.”
“Mr. Fida Sardor Hussian cannot show any record or bank document that he has a company worth US$4.8 billion dollars which was defrauded from him neither is there any record at the Ministry of Mines and Energy that shows a deposit of mineral in the said licensed area amounting to US$4.8 billion dollars.” .
It may be recalled, Koisee I.N. Garmo thru his lawyers filed a writ of prohibition to the Supreme Court of the Republic of Liberia, since the matter is being investigated by the Ministry of Mines and Energy which has the statutory responsibility to investigate all cases involving the acquisition of mineral rights.
“While said matter is before the supreme court, Mr. Fida Sardar Hussain through his lawyers, filed a writ through the city court of Montserrado to arrest Mr. Leonard Wayne Kragness and put him in jail and besmear the hard-earned reputation of honest Liberian citizens. This is solely a matter of mineral rights ownership and not of Criminal conspiracy, criminal facilitation, forgery and theft of any property in the amount of $US4.8 billion dollars as is being published by the front-page Africa newspaper.”
“Mr. Leonard Wayne Kragness who was wrongly incarcerated has been released and is not no the run as been alleged.”
“And for this false accusation, Mr. Leonard Wayne Kragness along with Koisee I. N. Garmo, II and Fahn Garmo, will institute lawsuit against Fida Sardor Hussian for defamation of their character.” Koisee I. N. Garmo, II, insisted.
On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, the FPA reported that the Monrovia City Court has ordered the incarceration of an American national, Leonard Wayne Kragness, following his indictment for allegedly defrauding a foreign company and the Government of Liberia of over US$4.8 billion in mineral assets and revenue.
The article inaccurately stated that Kragness, along with Liberian nationals Koisee L. N. Garmo II and Fahn Garmo, were accused of criminal conspiracy, criminal facilitation, forgery, and theft of property in violation of Sections 15.70, 15.51, 10.4, and 10.2 of the New Penal Law of Liberia.
