IPNEWS: In the face of growing job insecurity for young Liberian Professionals, the Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation (LWSC) has officially launched a short-term employment initiative designed specifically for university graduates, current university students, and technical/vocational (TVET) trainees.
According to a statement from the LWSC, this initiative works in tandem with the newly reintroduced National Vocational Jobs Program spearheaded by the Ministry of Labour to combat youth unemployment and build practical workplace skills.
Officials say the short-term jobs will afford participants to undergo hands-on professional training tailored to bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world duties.

Selected candidates are assigned to core corporate units across the LWSC Official Network, to support public utility operations, including Technical Services & Civil Engineering, Administration & Management, and Finance, Sales, & Marketing.
Applicants are encourage to apply as this program is structurally tied to broader national workforce development, recruitment and placement typically route through collaborative government pathways that would keep track of announcements regarding the National Vocational Jobs Program managed in Monrovia.
Currently, the LWSC frequently pulls interns directly from the MFDP’s Young Professional Internship Program vetting lists.
University or tertiary students from the University of Liberia or Stella Maris Polytechnic University, are advice to check directly with their department head for active institutional deployment rosters
