IPNEWS: In less than two years, the Boakai Administration has continued to make visible strides in advancing Liberia’s national development agenda. A major breakthrough in the education sector was achieved on October 20, 2025, with the signing of a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of Liberia, the Academic Consortium of Liberian Universities, and Chicago State University (CSU).

This landmark partnership reflects President Boakai’s commitment to expanding access to quality education, strengthening research collaboration, and linking Liberian students and educators to global academic networks.

The signing ceremony, held on CSU’s campus in Chicago, brought together distinguished representatives from both nations, including Hon. Dehpue Y. Zuo, Deputy Minister for Economic Management, Ministry of Finance and Development Planning; Hon. Nyekeh Y. Forkpa, Deputy Minister of Education; Zaldwaynaka “Z” Scott, J.D., President of CSU; and Dr. Sonja Feist-Price, Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs at CSU.

The partnership opens doors for faculty and student exchanges, research collaboration, and greater access to world-class education, advancing the Boakai Administration’s vision for a modern, inclusive, and globally competitive education system.

This collaboration marks a new chapter in Liberia’s academic journey and reaffirms the government’s unwavering focus on progress, partnership, and people-centered development, a clear signal that Liberia is steadily overcoming its long-standing challenges.
