The government of Liberia has signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with Mustapha Njie, head of TAF Africa Global, opening the door for an innovative 5,000-unit affordable housing and smart city project inside the Monrovia boom corridor.

The agreement, which was signed on Monday, April 6, 2026, in front of President Joseph N. Boakai, marks the beginning of high-level talks about what might turn out to be one of the biggest urban development projects in the nation in recent memory.

In order to solve Liberia’s expanding urban housing shortage, Njie claims that the proposed project will cover over 500 hectares and concentrate on providing affordable housing, contemporary infrastructure, and integrated smart city solutions.

Additionally, Jeff B. Blibo, Chairman of the National Investment Commission, signed on behalf of the Government of Liberia. Njie called the action “the beginning of serious discussions,” highlighting TAF Africa Global’s dedication to urban redevelopment, job creation, and bolstering public-private partnerships in Liberia’s real estate industry.

The investment mission, coordinated by Mohammed M. Bah, which comes after President Boakai issued what Njie described as a “gracious invitation,” highlighting the administration’s efforts to draw significant foreign investment into vital industries. In addition to providing thousands of Liberians with access to modern, reasonably priced housing, the project is anticipated to drastically alter Monrovia’s urban landscape.
