IPNEWS: The Civil Service Agency (CSA) has begun its Fiscal Year 2027 Annual Manpower Planning and Budget Hearings, bringing together Government Spending Entities to review proposed staffing and personnel needs.
The hearings, which commenced Tuesday, are aimed at assessing manpower requirements across government and ensuring proposed staffing levels are consistent with institutional mandates, operational priorities, and available national resources.
Institutions appearing on the first day included the CSA, Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, Office of the Vice President, Ministry of Information, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Liberia Institute of Public Administration, Liberia Institute of Statistics and Geo-Information Services, General Services Agency, and Bureau of State Enterprises.
During the exercise, representatives presented and justified their proposed personnel requirements for FY2027.
The CSA is expected to review existing staffing structures, identify critical manpower gaps, and assess whether requested positions are necessary and aligned with each institution’s operational needs.
The annual hearings form part of the government’s broader efforts to strengthen workforce planning, improve public-sector coordination, and promote prudent management of public resources.
The process involves the review of manpower needs from 109 Government Spending Entities.
