Former CMC-USA Chair Grace Guar Breaks Silence, Accuses Musa Bility of One-Man Rule

IPNEWS: The Former Chair of the Citizens Movement for Change (CMC) USA Chapter, Madam Grace Guar, has spoken publicly for the first time since her resignation, offering sharp criticism of the party’s leadership and internal operations.

Speaking during a live podcast, Madam Guar accused CMC Political Leader Musa Bility of running the party as a “one-man show,” alleging that key decisions are made solely by him without broad consultation or organizational structure.

According to Guar, the CMC is plagued by disorganization and self-interest among some of its members. She claimed that many individuals are drawn to the movement not by a genuine desire to bring change to Liberia, but rather by the personal benefits and opportunities they expect to gain.

“You have no order in the party. Your Executive members should be worried, you are the only one appointing people all over the place and nobody gets anything to say because everybody is just there to get something to eat”.

She emphasized that joining the CMC was not about money, but rather to help Musa Bility found a movement that would bring change to Liberia.

“I was the only person who came to you with my heart open. I came to help you. I don’t want anything because I told you that I said something about you in my sleep”. Grace said.

Guar, who previously played a key role in mobilizing support for the party in the United States, issued a strong warning to the CMC, vowing to take legal action should her name be linked to any financial impropriety.

“I left your party with money in your account. Every dollar I raised for the CMC was properly recorded and deposited into the party’s bank account,” she emphasized.

She challenged the CMC Political Leader to explain to the public why she had resigned.

“Do not use my name, tell the people why I resigned. Every good leader will do that”.

Her remarks come amid ongoing debates within the party regarding accountability, transparency, and leadership direction under Bility’s stewardship.

However, Musa Bility urged partisans to remain resilient and not respond to the former USA chair’s allegations.

“I ask all of you to stay disciplined. Do not react. Do not respond. Let us stay calm for the sake of the CMC. This is only a storm, and like every storm, it will pass. Everything will be fine”. Bility said.

Bility acknowledged those statements made by the CMC USA Chapter chair.

“Grace served as our USA Chair. She is speaking about the roles she played and the contributions she made toward building this great movement. Those were her responsibilities, and we appreciate every effort she made”.

“However, I am deeply concerned that our Global Chair has been unfairly insulted. I feel very bad about that. As for me, it is okay, I have been in this position long enough to understand that leadership sometimes comes with attacks”. Said Bility.
