—As Musa Bility Becomes Newest Opposition Leader

IPNEWS: Nimba County District #7 Representative and chairperson of the Rule of Law Legislative Caucus Musa Bility sworn in as the political leader of the newly formed Citizens Movement for Change political party.

The ceremony took place in Nimba County over the weekend.

Last year, Bility resigned from the Liberty Party where he had served as chairman and described his time with the party as one of the most rewarding periods of his political career.

In his resignation letter to the National Executive Council of the LP, Bility explained that he was stepping down as a political concession aimed at fostering reconciliation, as his vision was no longer aligned with that of the party.

Bility’s tenure as LP chairman was marked by significant internal strife, including the expulsion of Senators Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence and Darius Dilion for non-payment of dues, which ultimately led to a split in the party, forming two separate factions.

In his swearing-in address, Rep. Bility pledged to dedicate his efforts to tackling corruption, vowing to use all his strength to address this long-standing issue that has plagued the nation.

He also promised to usher in a new era of governance that prioritizes transparency, accountability, and national development in Liberia.

Meanwhile, Montserrado County District #10 representative Yekeh Kolubah attended the newly established Citizens Movement for Change political party and the induction of its first political leader Musa Bility and made these remarks.
