    LIBERIA: FC Fassell Poised to Break Ground on New Stadium in 2024

    IPNEWS: In a significant development for the sporting landscape of Liberia, Mr. Cassell Anthony Kuoh, the Chief Executive Officer of FC Fassell, has announced the construction of the club’s long-awaited 8,000 sitting capacity stadium is set to commence early next year 2025. This new facility, designed to accommodate up to 8,000 spectators, will mark a major milestone not only for FC Fassell but for the broader community as well.

    Speaking to the press, CEO Kuoh revealed that the initial stages of construction are already underway, with 12 shipping containers filled with essential materials currently en route to Liberia. These supplies are crucial for kick-starting the construction process.

    The location of the new stadium has been confirmed as the City of Marshall in Margibi County, where soil testing has already been completed, ensuring that the site is primed for development. This meticulous preparation indicates FC Fassell’s commitment to building a facility that meets both local and international standards.

    In a noteworthy announcement, Mr. Kuoh emphasized that FC Fassell will utilize this new stadium as their home ground for the upcoming season, providing fans with a dedicated venue to rally behind their team. With the construction of the stadium, the club aims to enhance the match-day experience and foster greater community engagement.

    This undertaking reflects a broader trend of investment in sports infrastructure across Liberia, as the nation seeks to cultivate a vibrant athletic culture. The commencement of construction on the FC Fassell stadium symbolizes hope and progress, promising to renew the passion and excitement surrounding football in the region.

    As FC Fassell prepares to turn this vision into reality, fans can look forward to a new era for the club and the sport in Liberia, marked by improved facilities and the potential for exciting future prospects.

    Meanwhile, CEO Cassell Kuoh has confirmed that 12 containers are already on sea making way to Liberia to begin the construction of the stadium. 

    The soil testing has been done, the Stadium will be constructed in the City of Marshall, Margibi County. 

    The CEO also confirmed that FC Fassell -Liberia will play their home games at the stadium next season.

    They see the development of football as a means of contributing to nation building.
