Unity Party Chairman Luther Tarpeh has vowed that the ruling party will push for the replacement of government ministers who fail to meet performance expectations, stressing that poor leadership and ineffective governance will not be tolerated.
Speaking at a recent press conference, Tarpeh said the Unity Party has identified what he described as “non-performing ministers” and is preparing to take steps aimed at improving accountability and public service delivery.
“We will not allow bad leadership to continue,” Tarpeh declared. “Anyone who is not performing should get ready to be changed. The Unity Party is coming for those who aren’t delivering for the Liberian people.”
The party chairman said the Unity Party remains committed to ensuring that government officials effectively implement the administration’s development agenda and deliver meaningful results for citizens.
Tarpeh also assured Liberians that the party is developing strategies to address the country’s pressing economic challenges, particularly issues affecting the daily lives of ordinary people.
“Bread-and-butter issues will be addressed,” he said, signaling the party’s intention to focus on improving the livelihoods of Liberians.
His remarks come amid growing public discussions about government performance, service delivery, and the need for stronger accountability within the Boakai administration.
While Tarpeh did not identify any ministers by name or specify a timeline for the proposed changes, his comments underscore the ruling party’s stated commitment to improving governance and responding to the concerns of the Liberian people.
