The Executive Mansion has announced that the President, Mr. Joseph Nyuma Boakai, has relieved Mr
Nelsco Aleo Wolo of his duties as Assistant Director for Operations at the National Security Agency (NSA) with immediate effect.

The Executive Mansion release states that the decision, taken for administrative reasons, is part of ongoing efforts to ensure the effective and efficient functioning of Liberia’s national security apparatus.

The President assures the public of his unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and accountability across all sectors of government, particularly within the nation’s security institutions.

The President has extended his appreciation to Mr. Wolo for services rendered the Republic and wished him well in his future endeavors.

While the Mansion says that Wolo was fired for “administrative reasons”, his trouble came from the tribute he recently delivered at the funeral of the late Nimba County Senator Prince Y. Johnson.

In his fiery tribute, he mentioned that the late Senator, whom Wolo regards as his “father”, had complained for bad treatment from politicians, including the present ruling establishment of President Boakai.
