A seasoned community leader, bridge-builder, and relentless advocate for progress, Minerva Grant is the candidate of choice for National President of the Federation of Lofaians in the Americas.
From the streets of Wisconsin to the heart of ULAA’s national leadership, Madam Grant has built a legacy of results-driven leadership marked by strength, empathy, and service. As President of the Wisconsin Liberian Community, she empowered her local chapter. As a Board Member of the Organization of Liberians in Minnesota, she advanced collaboration. And as Chairlady of ULAA’s National Elections Commission, she safeguarded democracy and transparency in some of ULAA’s most consequential moments.
Her leadership is tested and trusted. As National Executive Vice President of the Union of Liberian Associations in the Americas (ULAA), she boldly brokered peace in two of the diaspora’s most divided communities, Central New Jersey and Pennsylvania. These were not ceremonial gestures, she organized and oversaw free, fair, and successful elections that restored stability, integrity, and community spirit.
One of her signature achievements was leading the Liberian Diaspora Initiative Fund, ULAA’s community development vehicle, where she partnered with the Paynesville City Corporation (PCC) to tackle waste management and promote sustainability, a testament to her commitment to real solutions, not just rhetoric.
Madam Grant is development-minded, courageous, and deeply compassionate. She understands the power of listening, the importance of vision, and the strength of inclusive leadership. A mother, grandmother, and fierce advocate for women, she has spent her life uplifting others and building bridges across divisions.
Minerva Grant’s Vision for Lofa County
If elected President of the Federation of Lofaians in the Americas, Madam Grant brings a bold and inclusive vision that touches every corner of Lofa County:
1. Healthcare
Minerva envisions a Lofa where every citizen, regardless of income or geography, has access to quality healthcare. She will work with diaspora professionals and partners to expand rural health access, improve maternal and child care, and strengthen local clinics and health programs.
2. Education
She is committed to transforming education in Lofa. By mobilizing resources for school infrastructure, training teachers, and expanding scholarships, especially for girls and vulnerable youth, she aims to empower the next generation and build a prosperous, knowledge-driven Lofa.
3. Entrepreneurship
At the core of her development agenda is economic empowerment. Madam Grant will promote small business growth, youth entrepreneurship, and agricultural innovation, creating new pathways for wealth, jobs, and sustainability across Lofa County.
4. Unity & Collaboration
Minerva is a unifier. She will work to rebuild dormant chapters, strengthen relationships with Lofa’s traditional leaders and local governments, and ensure that both the diaspora and those on the ground are aligned in vision and purpose. The 2025 FLAA National Convention will be held June 20–22, 2025 in Columbus, Ohio.
Chapter Delegates are to pay a US$75.00 delegate fee, which covers attendance at business sessions and voting.
