    IPNEWS: The Liberian delegation led by Finance and Development Planning Minister Augustine Kpehe Ngafuan, on the first day of the 2025 Annual Meetings, held discussions with the International Monetary Fund Mission Team and Executive Director of the IMF, Mr. Ouattara Wautabouna, on the following: continued reform commitment and reliable data provision, implementation of the Extended Credit Facility (ECF) and Resilience Sustainability Facility. (RSF).


    The IMF and World Bank 2025 Annual Meetings is scheduled for October every year, the event brings together global leaders, finance ministers, and other stakeholders to discuss key global economic and development issues, including financial stability, poverty eradication, climate change, and institutional reform.

    Following a review in October 2025, the IMF Board approved a disbursement of $26.5 million (approximately SDR 19.3 million) to Liberia, bringing total disbursements under the ECF to $79.4 million (approximately SDR 57.9 million).
