    LIBERIA: Bill McGill Jones Leaves MFDP In President Boakai New Appointments

    IPNEWS: President Joseph Nyuma Boakai Sr., has made additional nominations and appointments to government agencies affecting the Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs, the Ministry of Local Government, and three public institutions, including the National Housing Authority (NHA), the Liberia Institute of Public Administration (LIPA), and the Bureau of State Enterprises (SOE).

    According to a statement from the Executive Mansion, the nominations are subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate where applicable.

    Those nominated are Bill McGill Jones – Deputy Minister for Administration, and Madam Jennifer Davies Ross – Assistant Minister for Administration, MINISTRY OF STATE FOR PRESIDENTIAL AFFAIRS respectively.

    At the Ministry of Local Government, the Executive Mansion statement reads that the appointments are in effect of ongoing efforts to strengthen governance, decentralization, and effective public service delivery across the country, the leadership of the Ministry of Local Government has been reconstituted by reappointments.

    The statement also notes that the appointments are consistent with Chapter 25.22 of the new Act establishing the Ministry of Local Government (2025) and highlights the Administration’s efforts to improving institutional performance and advancing national development priorities.

    The Ministry’s administrative structure reconstituted includes Mr. Francis Sakila Nyumalin, Sr. – Minister,Mr. ​Edward K. Mulbah – Deputy Minister for Local Government and Decentralization,​ Mr. Samuel F. Brown – Deputy Minister for Administration. Madam Selena Polson Mappy – Deputy Minister for Research, Policy and Planning. Mr. Joseph N. D. Bannah – Deputy Minister for Peacebuilding, and Madam Fatima Bintu Sirleaf – Deputy Minister for Urban Affairs. Others include​ Mr. J. Alphanso D. Perkins – Assistant Minister for Local Government and Decentralization. Mr. D. Emmanuel Wheinyue – Assistant Minister for Research, Policy and Planning.​ Mr. Eddie Cornelius Dillah – Assistant Minister for Urban Affairs, Mr. F. Dadeh Harper – Assistant Minister for Administration,​ Mr. Losene F. Bility – Assistant Minister for Legal Affairs & Traditional Marriages,​ Mr. Mike Khailelu B. Jabateh – Assistant Minister for Peacebuilding,​ and Mr. William Jallah – Assistant Minister for Culture and Tradition,

    At the NATIONAL HOUSING AUTHORITY (NHA), President has appointed Mr. Mathias F. Korpu – Deputy Managing Director for Administration,​ Madam Winnie Mameni Siakor-Dilah – Deputy Managing Director for Technical Services, LIBERIA INSTITUTE OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION (LIPA), and ​ Madam Nukey M. Richards – Deputy Director General for Training and Manpower Development

    BUREAU OF STATE ENTERPRISES (BSE), President Boakai appointed, ​ Mr. Julius P. Browne, Sr. – Deputy Director General for Operations.

    President Boakai further emphasizes that the appointments reflect his Administration’s determination to reinforce capable leadership across government institutions and to deepen decentralization, accountability, and service delivery to the Liberian people.

    The President called on all appointed officials to discharge their duties with professionalism, integrity, and steadfast leadership to national service.
