Former Liberian President George Manneh Weah, has risen serious suspicion over the mysterious death of Boulevard Palace Hotel General Manager, Anwar Futloo.
Delivering his New Year’s Day watchnight sermon on the Theme: ‘God Sees Everything’, at his The Forky Jlaleh Family Fellowship Church, former Liberian President Weah questions the rationale of the late Anwar Futloo going to an apartment to take shisha when he occupies a position as General Manager for one of the luxury Hotels in Liberia that he could have enjoy anything at his will and pleasure.
The late Anwar Futloo, General Manager, Boulevard Palace Hotel , mysteriously died on late Tuesday, December 31,2024, at an apartment on 9th Street Sinkor.
Initial report suggested that Anwar Futloo, was discovered unresponsive in his parked car on the hotel premises with suspicious liquid resembling ‘costed-soda’ in an apparent act of suicide.
Futloo was later rushed to the John F. Kennedy Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
At a press briefing, the Liberia National Police (LNP) disclosed that it has launched an investigation into the mysterious death of Anwar Futloo, the General Manager of Boulevard Palace Hote
Police Inspector General Gregory Coleman revealed that preliminary findings suggest suicide, but the case remains under scrutiny. According to IG Coleman, the late Futoo allegedly visited a Humanitarian Home on 9th Street on December 31, where he reportedly went into the bathroom and consumed a cleaning substance contrary to earlier reports.
“The screams from the bathroom alerted security personnel, who rushed in and found him lying on the floor,” Coleman said. He added that prior to the incident, Mr. Futoo allegedly purchased the cleaning substance from a local supermarket.
The police chief noted that a coroner’s inquest will provide further details as the investigation continues. Persons of interest have also been identified and are currently under investigation.
