IPNEWS: GLS Group has reaffirmed its commitment to integrity and lawful business practices while warning that it may pursue legal action against individuals or entities spreading what it described as false and defamatory allegations linked to an ongoing investigation at Roberts International Airport (RIA).
In a statement issued Friday, the logistics and infrastructure company said it is fully cooperating with authorities investigating the matter and pledged to continue providing support throughout the process.
The company, however, declined to comment on the specifics of the investigation, citing respect for due process and the integrity of the ongoing inquiry.
“GLS Group wishes to assure the general public, our partners, counterparties, stakeholders, and shareholders that, out of respect for the integrity of the investigation and for due process, the Company will not comment on the subject of an ongoing investigation,” the statement said.
The company called on the public and media to avoid speculation and allow investigators to complete their work before conclusions are drawn.
At the same time, GLS Group strongly rejected allegations circulating in public discussions concerning the company and its leadership, describing the claims as unverified, false and defamatory.
According to the statement, the company reserves the right to pursue all available legal remedies to protect its corporate reputation, the integrity of its leadership and the confidence of its stakeholders.
The company highlighted its more than 14-year history in Liberia’s logistics and infrastructure sectors, citing major projects including the GLS Menzies Aviation Cargo Center at Roberts International Airport, which it said established the country’s first modern air cargo handling facility under the Cargo Operations Concession.
GLS Group also pointed to the Liberia Bonded Warehouse Complex, described as the nation’s largest commercial bonded warehouse serving importers and exporters across multiple industries, as part of its contribution to national development and regional trade.
The company reiterated that it maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward unlawful activity and operates under strict compliance and operational standards.
GLS Group urged stakeholders to rely on verified information from official investigating bodies rather than speculation or unofficial reports.
The company said it remains committed to conducting its operations lawfully, reviewing internal procedures in coordination with authorities where necessary, and supporting Liberia’s economic growth through transparency, excellence and integrity.
