The Monrovia City Corporation says it is set to deepen its partnership with the globally acclaimed humanitarian organization, Lions Club International.

Speaking Thursday, September 25, Mayor John-Charuk Siafa said the collaboration will focus on key community projects, especially targeting underprivileged residents. He noted that Lions Club’s activities align closely with the city’s strategic priorities, including health initiatives, environmental programs, and disaster preparedness.

The Mayor made the remarks when he received the Governor of District 403 A2 of Lions Club International, Mr. Michel Boua, at his Monrovia office. He described the Governor’s visit as a unique opportunity for the organization to better understand the city’s pressing development challenges.

For his part, Governor Boua welcomed the partnership, stressing that Lions Club International is committed to improving community wellbeing. He said his assessment visit to Monrovia will help identify impactful projects that the organization can support.

The Governor was accompanied by Madam D. Sheba Brown, Chargé d’ Mission, and Madam Caroline Caranda, Regional Chairperson of Lions Club International.
