IPNEWS: Environmental Eyes Consultancy and Advocacy Firm Inc. – EECAF has been approved full member of the global Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative – EITI Association for the term 2026-2029.
This approval according to a statement from EITI, recognizes EECAF as an official representative of Liberia’s civil society constituency within the EITI governance structure after a competitive and independent vetting process by the EITI’s Board.
As an EITI Association member, EECAF now has voting rights in the election of CSO representatives to the EITI International Board and a protected role in Liberia’s LEITI Multi-Stakeholder Group processes. This membership affirms EECAF’s commitment to advancing transparency, accountability, and citizen participation in the management of Liberia’s oil, gas, and mining resources in accordance with the EITI Standard.
