—- Sets Straight Constitutional Clarity and Loyalty Within the CDC
IPNEWS: Former House Speaker and char of the CDC Headquarters Project Cllr. Johnathan Fonati Koffa , ahead of October 18, formal groundbreaking ceremonies for the construction of the CDC New Headquarters, has caution partisans of the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC), the importance of being loyal to their party.
Cllr. Koffa caution comes in the wake of some members of the CDC collaborating with opposition figures, particularly those aligned with the Unity Party , in an efforts to undermine removal of CDC only high ranking partisan within the Unity Party Government to remove Cllr. Fonati Koffa as Speaker, under the disguise that cllr. Koffa was acting against the best interests of the CDC.
“Such actions are viewed not as political dissent but as outright betrayal. The message is clear: individuals who threaten the integrity and objectives of the CDC should be regarded as adversaries, not allies.
Reflecting on the occurrences of his removal as Speaker, of the House of Representatives, Cllr. Koffa emphasized the foundational principles of Liberia’s governance, which has been made clear in the Constitution explicitly recognizing only two legislative entities: the Senate and the House of Representatives. Importantly, it does not include any mention of “majority blocs” or “minority blocs.”
Recdntly, Deputy Speaker Thomas Fallah, vowed to support the Joseph Boakai’s government and undertakings.
Fallah while on attending the UNGA, stated that, ” Now, I Don’t Know My Position, Ruling Or Opposition But I Support President Boakai’s Agenda “, Deputy Speaker, Thomas Fallah
” I support President Boakai that’s why you see me here and I will always be around to demonstrate my support for his administration”, he re-emphasized.
“I am now a new Thomas Fallah, very objective, I am a free thinker, and I believe this is the right path to take and I also have my right to support whoever I want to and I am doing that now for President Boakai “, he reechoed.
