IPNEWS: Montserrado County, Liberia — In a spirited meeting held on Sunday political leader of the Alternative National Congress (ANC), Mr. Alexander Benedict Cummings, addressed a large crowd of residents from Point Four and the Supermarket area in District #16 as part of his preparedness for the upcoming 2029 Presidential and legislative elections.
Mr. Cummings, who grew up in the community, shared heartfelt stories about his childhood, reconnecting with old friends and neighbors. His engagement aimed to resonate with the constituents who remember him from his formative years.
In his remarks,Mr Cummings speak on couples of issues affecting the life’s of the community and and Liberia at large “I want this government to succeed, but I will checkmate them where necessary. When they succeed, poverty will reduce,” Cummings stated, emphasizing his commitment to holding the current administration accountable.
Using a metaphor to illustrate his vision for change, he remarked, “If you have a battery radio and the battery runs down, putting the same battery will not work. You need a new battery, and I AM THAT NEW BATTERY THAT THE COUNTRY NEEDS.”
Cummings’ remarks reflect his ambition to rejuvenate Liberia’s political landscape as he seeks to energize the electorate in District 16 ahead of the pivotal elections.
