    President Boakai Appoints to Rural Renewable Energy Agency Board; Renominates Commissioner of the Beawor Administrative District

    IPNEWS: President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has appointed Mr. Lincoln Togba Kollie, Jr. as a Member of the Board of the Rural Renewable Energy Agency (RREA), while also renominating Mr. Benjamin Bear as Commissioner of the Beawor Administrative District, Yarnee Statutory District, Rivercess County.

    The appointment of Mr. Kollie is consistent with the Act establishing the Rural Renewable Energy Agency, approved on July 6, 2015.

    Mr. Kollie is appointed to fill the vacancy created by the unfortunate passing of the late Mr. Yayah Sow, a civil engineer who previously served on the Board.

    Mr. Kollie brings to the RREA Board more than ten (10) years of experience in engineering and field services.

    President Boakai has also renominated Mr. Benjamin Bear as Commissioner of the Beawor Administrative District, Yarnee Statutory District, Rivercess County.

    The President urges the Honorable Liberian Senate to give timely consideration to the nomination where applicable l in the interest of strengthening governance, advancing rural electrification, and improving local administration and service delivery.
