IPNEWS: Montserrado County Senator Abraham Darius Dillon has publicly acknowledged that former President George Manneh Weah remains the biggest political figure in Liberia, a statement that underscores the enduring influence of the ex-football icon turned statesman.
Speaking during a recent engagement, Senator Dillon emphasized that despite political differences, Weah’s popularity and reach across Liberia’s electorate remain unmatched.
“There is no denying that former President Weah commands the largest following in the country,” Dillon noted, adding that such recognition is essential for understanding Liberia’s political dynamics.
Weah, who served as Liberia’s 25th president from 2018 to 2024, continues to maintain a strong grassroots presence, particularly among young voters and communities outside Monrovia.
