Senator Duncan Engages Over 100 Motorcyclists in Thinkers Village, Urges Responsible Voting

Monrovia, Liberia – October 11, 2025: Montserrado County Senator Crayton Oldman Duncan on Saturday held an interactive engagement with more than one hundred commercial motorcyclists and local residents in Thinkers Village, District #6, encouraging responsible voting and national accountability.

During the meeting, Senator Duncan underscored the need for Liberians—particularly young voters and members of the working class—to make informed choices at the polls by supporting candidates with clear, people-centered agendas aimed at transforming the nation’s economy and improving livelihoods.

“Our country’s resources have been grossly mismanaged and exploited under both past and present administrations,” Senator Duncan said. “Unfortunately, these governments have failed to take concrete actions to address the real challenges our people face, largely out of fear of sanctions from international partners, especially the United States. As a result, Liberia continues to lose valuable resources while the ordinary citizens receive little or no benefit.”

The Senator urged citizens to reject leaders who prioritize personal or foreign interests over national development and called for a united effort in holding elected officials accountable to the people.

As part of the engagement, Senator Duncan donated US$1,000 worth of gasoline to the motorcyclists as a gesture of support, acknowledging their essential role in Liberia’s transportation system and in sustaining livelihoods across Monrovia and beyond.

He noted that the initiative forms part of his broader outreach program aimed at strengthening community relations and advocating for policies that promote transparency, accountability, and equitable distribution of national wealth.
