The Environmental Eyes Consultancy and Advocacy Firm Inc. (EECAF)  has lauded Executive Director of the Environmental Protection Agency of Liberia (EPA), Hon. Dr. Emmanuel K.Urey Yarkpawolo,  and his technical team at the EPA, and the Government of Liberia for the successful development and timely submission of Liberia’s Third Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC 3.0) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

EECAF in a statement stated that this marks a pivotal moment in Liberia’s ongoing climate action journey and demonstrates a renewed national commitment to global climate goals under the Paris Agreement.

“The NDC 3.0 submission is not only a fulfillment of Liberia’s international obligation but also a reaffirmation of the country’s recognition of climate change as a serious threat to its national development, public health, food security, natural ecosystems, and the overall well-being of its people.

As an environmental consultancy and advocacy institution committed to supporting sustainable development, climate resilience, and just environmental governance, EECAF applauds the following:

    1. Leadership and Vision: We commend the EPA’s Executive Director for his visionary leadership in steering a consultative, inclusive, and data-driven process that has resulted in a robust and credible NDC 3.0.

    2. Technical Excellence: We acknowledge the EPA technical team’s hard work, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to aligning national climate targets with both national development priorities and global emissions reduction trajectories.

    3. Government Commitment: We celebrate the Government of Liberia’s political will to advance climate diplomacy, integrate climate action into sectoral planning, and enhance adaptation” the statement concludes.
