The September Association, a charity group formed under the banner of a birth month organization, has made a substantial donation of food and non-food items to the John F. Kennedy (JFK) Rehabilitation Center in the Duport Road community.

The contribution aims to bolster the center’s resources and support individuals on their path to recovery.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Waka Chie, President of the September Association, highlighted the importance of supporting community health initiatives.

“This donation reflects our commitment to aiding both the government and other philanthropists who work tirelessly to uplift vulnerable groups in Liberia,” Chie said.

He noted that the center’s collaboration with government agencies has been critical in delivering vital services to those in need.

Since its inception in 2016, the September Association has focused on charitable initiatives to assist underprivileged individuals across the country.

The September 13 donation marks the organization’s ninth philanthropic effort since its founding. Chie assured that the group will continue to extend support to organizations and individuals striving to improve the lives of Liberians.

Items donated to the center included eight bags of rice, two gallons of Ago oil, two packs of tissues, and one carton of Colora, among other essentials.

In response, Williams Kanneh, Administrator of the JFK Rehabilitation Center, expressed profound gratitude to the September Association.

“By thinking about us, you are truly God-sent. Your generosity demonstrates a heart of gold, and it is through human-centered efforts like yours that meaningful change and development occur in Liberia,” Kanneh said.

The JFK Rehabilitation Center has long served as a cornerstone for the community, providing crucial rehabilitation programs and support to individuals seeking to regain independence and improve their quality of life.

The recent donation will enable the center to expand its services and reach more people in need.

Members of the September Association participated in the donation ceremony with enthusiasm, underscoring their belief that every act of support contributes to building a healthier and stronger community.

The organization also encouraged other birth month groups to consider similar contributions to local institutions, fostering hope and recovery for Liberians nationwide.
