IPNEWS: The Liberty Party is set to commemorate its 20th anniversary on May 19, 2025, marking two decades of unwavering commitment to democratic governance in Liberia.

Under the theme “Liberty Party: 20 Years of Democratic Legacy to Cherish,” the Party reflects on its contributions to national development while reaffirming its dedication to advancing good governance, the rule of law, and citizen empowerment.

Led by Political Leader Senator Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence, the Liberty Party paid tribute to its visionary founding father, the late Cllr. Charles Walker Brumskine, whose leadership and principles continue to shape the Party’s mission.

“The sacrifices, resilience, and unwavering dedication of our founders have instilled a compassionate political philosophy in us—one that champions equal opportunities for all Liberians,” the Party declared in a release signed by Secretary General Martin Saye Kollah.

Over the past two decades, the Liberty Party has played an instrumental role in shaping Liberia’s multiparty democracy, advocating for transparency, anti-corruption, and policies that prioritize the welfare of ordinary citizens.

The Party’s leadership emphasized its enduring commitment to cultivating a democratic culture rooted in human rights, national unity, and social justice.

As part of its 20th-anniversary celebrations, the Liberty Party has announced a series of events to honor its journey and reaffirm its vision for a more inclusive and progressive Liberia.

“The Liberty Party remains steadfast in its belief that Liberia’s brightest days lie ahead, achievable through collective action guided by national interest over personal ambition,” the statement concluded.
