IPNEWS: The Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) is pleased to announce a significant step towards enhancing the countryโ€™s energy security.

    LEC has officially ๐ฌ๐ข๐ ๐ง๐ž๐ ๐š ๐Œ๐ž๐ฆ๐จ๐ซ๐š๐ง๐๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐”๐ง๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ง๐๐ข๐ง๐  (๐Œ๐Ž๐”) ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐“๐๐„๐€ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐๐ž๐ฉ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฒ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐Œ๐– ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐š๐๐๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฐ๐ž๐ซ ๐ ๐ž๐ง๐ž๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐œ๐š๐ฉ๐š๐œ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, comprising 80MW from Natural Gas/Thermal energy and 20MW from Solar energy. This critical project is expected to be installed in the shortest possible time, further strengthening Liberiaโ€™s electricity infrastructure.

    In addition to this initiative, This transformative project aims to significantly reduce Liberiaโ€™s energy deficit, improve grid stability, and support economic growth by providing affordable and reliable electricity to households, businesses, and industries across the country.

These initiatives and others ongoing projects reflect our commitment to scaling up power generation in Liberia to meet growing demand and ensure long-term energy sustainability. The addition of 370MW through these projects will not only enhance reliability but also support industrialization and economic expansion.
