IPNEWS: The Office of the Vice President of the Republic of Liberia has distanced itself from a group claiming to represent Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung, Sr., under the banner of the “Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung Intellectual Response Team.”

In a statement issued over the weekend, the Office of the Vice President said it has no knowledge of, connection to, or association with the group, and warned the public against engaging with or taking seriously any activities or communications coming from it.

According to the release, Vice President Koung has not authorized, endorsed, or sanctioned any individual or organization to speak or act on his behalf under such a name. “Any statements or publications attributed to the so-called group do not represent the views, position, or direction of the Vice President or his Office,” the statement emphasized.

The Office reaffirmed that Vice President Koung remains fully aligned with His Excellency President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., in advancing the national development agenda focused on good governance, economic stability, and social progress.

It added that the Vice President maintains no separate political or policy agenda outside of the collective vision of the Government of Liberia.

“The Vice President’s focus remains firmly on supporting President Boakai in addressing the nation’s pressing governance challenges and ensuring that the Government delivers tangible results for all Liberians,” the statement concluded.
