IPNEWS: Two suspected motorbike thieves were Sunday, December 29, 2024, mobbed to death by a group of angry mobs made of mostly commercial motorcyclists.

The killing of the two suspected motorbike thieves come days after a commercial bike rider was killed by suspected motorbike thieves and his bike stolen in the process around the same Paynesville area.

Motorbike theft in recent times has become the new normal around the Paynesville and Johnsonville belts, putting the lives of commercial motorbike ridders in danger.

The incident on Sunday occurred during Noonday when the suspected motorcycle thieves attempted to escape through a traffic light when an angry mob pounced upon them.

An eyewitness said one of the suspected thieves slid off the stolen bike while trying to beat the traffic light at the intersection of 72nd Junction and the Japanese Freeway, allowing both suspects to fall off the bike and were immediately surrounded by a group of commercial motorcyclists.

Another, Saah Williams, told the New Dawn that the two suspected motorbike thieves were in motion, escaping with a brand-new motorbike stolen from one- commercial motorcyclist, who is currently taking treatment at Gerlib Clinic, known as German Clinic in Paynesville as a result of injuries he obtained during the robbery.

Reports said the two Motorbikes thieves had injected the commercial Motorcyclist with poison along Tubman Boulevard while succeeding in taking away the bike, when an alarm was raised, drawing the attention of other motorcyclists on the scene who chased the suspected thieves.

“99 days for rogue, one day for Master, let them kill them,” they just from stealing the bike at Boulevard, a passerby said.

“Kill him,” kill him, kill him.” The man them wicked, things we struggled for. They just want to take it in an hour,” a motorcyclist said.

The two alleged suspects were beaten unmercifully, before Police could come on the scene, one die instantly, while the other was left unconscious and was later said to have been pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, one of the suspected Motorbike thieves was later identified as Jaileibah Samba Fania, affectionately known as (Daddy V”), a resident of Sinkor Gbangay Town Community and a father of one. A National Identification and Voter registration cards were found in his pocket, while the other, who was rushed to a nearby Clinic, was said to have died upon arrival.
