IPNEWS: Since the suspension of the Commissioner General of the Liberia Immigration Service, Stephen Zargo, THE AUTHORITATIVE Independent Probe has gathered reports that he has deliberately refused to turn over a White Toyota Hilux Double Cabin Pick-up received through the Ministry of Justice, and has converted same for his personal use which can be considered as theft and misapplication of entrusted property in violation of the Penal Code of Liberia.

President Boakai instructed Mr. Zargo turnover all government properties in his possession when he was suspended, however, Mr. Zargo has since refused to adhere to the instructions of the Liberian chief Executive.

The vehicle was among the 10 motorbikes presented to the Liberia Immigration Service.

Information gathered by IPNEWS says that suspended Commissioner Zargo has placed a private license plate on the White Toyota Hilux Double Cabin Pick-up donated to the Liberia Immigration Service and chose to disobey the instructions issued by President Joseph N. Boakai.

Zargo was suspended for three months off-the-job with pay cut and was instructed to turn over all official government materials, assets and office accessories to his principal deputy Elijah F. Rufus who will assume responsibilities of the institution during the suspended period.

The Suspended Commissioner General intentionally and deliberately refused to adhere to the instruction of President Boakai in implementing his directives as outlined by refusing to turn over his office after he locked it and took away the keys for reasons best known to himself.

Suspended Commissioner Zargo took away some official documents that were presented to him for approval while serving the position; as a result, some of these persons who submitted these documents had no other alternative but to redo their documents.

An inside source has also told this paper that the management of Cetis/Zip, a Slovebia Compamy who ‘won’ the bid for the E-Visa and Re-Entry Permit Cards will begin operations in 2025.

According to the renegotiated contract signed with Suspended Commissioner Stephen Zargo, the value of the contract was not specified as was done with Contec Global on the Resident Permit Cards.

Cetis/Zip Solutions is to provide five (5) vehicles with 10 motorbikes and up to today, only three vehicles have been delivered to the Liberia Immigration Service.

The inside source also revealed that the 2 remaining vehicles and 10 motorbikes in question were made to understand that they were changed for value.

Cetis/Zip Solutions was also to set up a control center at the Roberts International Airport and conduct training for Immigration personnel but up to date nothing has materialized.
