Moye Accuses Rep. Bility of Political Manipulation, Misuse of County Funds

IPNEWS: Bong County Senator Prince K. Moye has launched a fierce public attack against opposition politician and District #7 Representative Musa Hassan Bility, accusing him of political interference, financial impropriety, and attempting to exploit public development funds for personal political influence.

Speaking on State Radio, ELBC on Monday, Senator Moye alleged that Rep. Bility, who also serves as the Political Leader of the Collaborating Movement for Change (CMC), has a long-standing history of undermining political processes to favor his preferred outcomes during elections.

“Musa Bility is on record for bringing in 50 pickups in 2016, and Brumskine still did not win the election,” Moye asserted. “He is also on record for bringing Cummings’ numbers down in 2023. I told my colleague not to dance to the tune of Bility he does not see politically.”

Senator Moye further accused his Nimba County colleague of diverting funds intended for Bong County under the China Union concession agreement, which allocated US$10 million for the county’s social and economic development.

According to Moye, Rep. Bility “indirectly collected” the money and is now attempting to “return some of it” through personal development initiatives in the county.

“He stole the people’s money!” the Senator declared. “I will officially write him to demand the construction of five additional bridges in Bong County so that the people can get back what belongs to them.”

The senator emphasized that the alleged misuse of public funds undermines development efforts and political accountability.

    Rising Political Tensions

The fiery accusations come amid growing political rivalry between the two lawmakers, both of whom have been vocal on national governance issues and actively aligned with opposition political blocs.

While Senator Moye has positioned himself as a defender of Bong County’s interests, Bility has in recent months expanded his political visibility across multiple counties, drawing both support and criticism.

Rep. Bility has not yet made a public statement responding to the allegations. Efforts by reporters to contact his office for comment were unsuccessful up to press time.

As the political exchange escalates, observers warn that the dispute could further intensify regional political dynamics ahead of future electoral contests. By: Andrew B Weah , 0770637216/0886429103, andrewbweah@gmail.com
