IPNEWS: Joseph Nyuma Boakai, President of Liberia, visited the Freeport of Monrovia on Thursday, January 15, showcasing his commitment to the government’s ARREST Agenda through direct oversight of key economic hubs.

The President inspected the Presidential Warehouse and stopped by the National Port Authority’s (NPA) Corporate Office.

This hands-on tour highlights his focus on bolstering institutions that fuel trade, revenue, and national productivity.

NPA Managing Director Sekou A.M. Dukuly, Deputy Managing Director for Administration James R. Bernard, and Deputy Managing Director for Operations Emmanuel Horton welcomed the President.

The visit spotlighted the Freeport’s central role in the ARREST Agenda – prioritizing accountability, economic revitalization, and service delivery.

Leaders reaffirmed the NPA’s pledge to efficient operations, transparent governance, and reforms that support inclusive growth and Liberia’s renewal.

President Boakai’s engagement signals a proactive push to transform ports into engines of progress for all Liberians.
