Liberia has successfully met its financial obligation to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) by paying its full dues for 2026. The payment amounts to US$7.4 million.
Ambassador Robert Kpadeh, Liberia’s Permanent Representative to the IMO, presented a symbolic cheque on behalf of President Joseph Nyumah Boakai Sr. This payment reaffirms Liberia’s commitment to international maritime standards.
Liberia’s timely payment is especially important as the nation seeks to retain its seat on the IMO Council for the 2026/2027 biennium.
Liberia continues to be a leader in the maritime industry.
