    Fellow Liberians,

Happy New Year! On behalf of the Liberia National Union, I extend my heartfelt wishes to you and your families for a prosperous and fulfilling 2025. May this year bring renewed hope, strengthened unity, and meaningful progress for all Liberians.

The year 2024 was a defining period in our nation’s history—a year marked by both progress and challenges. We witnessed the peaceful transfer of power, a hallmark of our evolving democracy. Yet, we also saw setbacks, such as the disarray in the House of Representatives, which underscored the ongoing need for accountability and effective governance. Many Liberian families continued to grapple with economic hardships, rising costs of living, and political uncertainties that weigh heavily on our shared aspirations for a better Liberia.

Throughout the year, many of you called on me and the Liberia National Union to speak out more decisively on the critical issues affecting our country. I want you to know that I have listened carefully and reflected deeply. While I have engaged selectively on certain national issues to allow the new administration time to establish itself, my focus has also been on listening to the concerns of Liberians across the nation. These insights have shaped my understanding of what is needed to move Liberia forward.

In 2025, I pledge to take a more active role in addressing the pressing challenges of our nation. I will speak more frequently and forcefully on matters that demand our collective attention, offering perspectives and solutions aimed at advancing the interests of all Liberians. While we continue to wish the current government success—knowing that their success benefits us all—we must remain steadfast in our commitment to holding leadership accountable and advocating for policies that improve the lives of every Liberian.

As we embark on this new year, I want to especially honor the women and youth of Liberia. You are the bedrock of our nation, and your resilience and determination inspire hope for a brighter future.

Together, let us work to build a Liberia defined by unity, progress, and opportunity for all.

May God bless you, and may God bless the Republic of Liberia.
