    Kuwaiti Fund Delegation Meets Finance and Development Planning Minister Ngafuan

    IPNEWS: A delegation from the Kuwaiti Fund on Monday held a productive meeting with Finance and Development Planning Minister Augustine Kpehe Ngafuan, reaffirming the Fund’s continued commitment to financing the Gbarnga–Mendikorma Highway.

    “We are here to assure you and finalize this technical mission concerning the corridor from Salayea to Konia,”Nawaf fares Al-Dabbous, Senior Engineer Adviser

    Kuwait fund for Arab Economic Development noted.

    The Kuwaiti Fund is one of the original Arab lenders and a principal financier of the Gbarnga–Mendikorma road project. Discussions centered on accelerating implementation of the Salayea to Konia section of the highway.

    Minister Ngafuan expressed profound appreciation on behalf of President Joseph Nyuma Boakai and the people of Liberia for the Fund’s enduring support toward this major road corridor.

    “Seeing you makes us happy. Your presence assures us that the road from Salayea to Konia will be done,” he said.

    Minister Ngafuan further assured the Kuwaiti Fund that the Government of Liberia will fully uphold its commitments to the project.

    “We will not slip on our obligations,” he affirmed.
