‘Ignorant Lairs’, Simeon Freeman Fires BACK at Critics

Says 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐒𝐓𝐕, 𝐒𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐧

Hon. Simeon Freeman, has dismissed claims that DSTV refuses Liberian dollars as “untrue” and mere  “ignorance.”

The businessman-politician clarified that payments are accepted through the MTN mobile money platform, ensuring customers can use local currency for the service. He urged the public to disregard the misinformation.

Recently, Journalist Charles Yates, lashed out DSTV for stealing from the Liberian people for over several decades unchecked with his DSTV company charging customers more for DSTV packages.

Journalist Yates stated that Liberia is the only country with high DSTV fees and no one has called Mr. Freeman to order.

DSTV is a South African wireless television service and Freeman has been holding the franchise for several years and not even the government of Liberia has questioned Freeman about the high cost of DSTV packages in Liberia.

Yates Inferred that South Africa has set the fees for all DSTV packages but in Liberia, Freeman added extra costs to the fees setup by South Africa ( the mother company). While Mr.  Freeman added extra 2 to 3$ to every packages on the DSTV .

“This is a broad daylight stealing and the government has done nothing about this looting for decades… Perhaps, it is just some of the extra charged fees that Freeman used to purchase his 400,000 watch… This is disservice to the very people he wants to lead. This is not only stealing but robbery. Imagine trusting such a man with state power or with the national resources? He will do the worst. A leader that has nasty desire for wealth is very dangerous.

See attached the difference packages for the DSTV in Liberia and the standard cost setup by the company in South Africa… The first screenshot is Liberia packages and the second screenshot is the one release by South Africa . South Africa set the premium package for 54$ but in Liberia it is 61, South Africa set the compact package for 20$ and in Liberia Freeman set it for 23$, Compact Plus is 31$ in South Africa but in Liberia Freeman set it for 36$ . Isn’t this stealing from the Liberian people? “
