    DEPUTY MINISTER SANDO PRESENTS GOVERNMENT’S PRESS FREEDOM ACHIEVEMENTS IN DAKAR, SENEGAL

    The Deputy Minister for Press and Public Affairs, Daniel O. Sando, is currently in Dakar, Senegal attending a weeklong Regional Conference on the Right to Information in the Sahel at the margins of the Africa International Media Fair.

    Deputy Sando’s participation at the conference is at the  invitation of the Government of the Republic of Senegal, through its Minister of Communication, Telecommunications and Digital Services, Mr. Alioune Sall.

    More so, the conference is  co-organized by French-based international Media rights group, Reporters Without Borders (RSF). 

    Officials from Ministries of Information in West Africa and the Sahel are attending the conference. 

    On Monday, Deputy Minister Sando participated in a high-level ministerial panel on the Right to Information where he presented on the Government of Liberia’s Freedom of Information Laws and the impressive press freedom in Liberia.
