IPNEWS: Former Minister of National Defense, Brownie J. Samukai, has firmly dismissed speculations about his possible political alignment outside the Unity Party (UP), declaring that he will not contest any election on the ticket of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) or any other opposition political party.

In a clear and unequivocal statement, Samukai emphasized his unwavering commitment to the Unity Party, stressing that his political beliefs and values remain firmly rooted in the party’s ideology and vision for Liberia.

“I will not accept to be a candidate on the CDC or any opposition political party’s ticket. I remain a committed supporter of the Unity Party,” Samukai stated.

His declaration comes amid growing political discussions and maneuverings as parties and key political figures position themselves ahead of future electoral contests.

Samukai’s name has recently surfaced in public debates and political circles, prompting questions about his political future and possible alliances.

By publicly reaffirming his loyalty, the former defense minister has sought to put such speculations to rest, signaling continuity rather than political realignment.

Observers believe his statement reinforces internal unity within the Unity Party at a time when cohesion and clarity of direction are considered crucial.

Samukai, who has served Liberia in various public capacities, remains an influential political figure whose stance is likely to resonate with party loyalists and supporters nationwide.

His renewed pledge to the Unity Party underscores his determination to continue contributing to Liberia’s political development within the framework of the ruling party’s agenda.

As the political landscape continues to evolve, Samukai’s firm position adds another layer of certainty to the unfolding dynamics, reaffirming that he intends to chart his political future firmly within the Unity Party.
