IPNEWS: Bomi County Senator Edwin Melvin Snowe Jr. has launched a scathing attack on Deputy Information Minister Daniel O. Sando, accusing him of being “the most irresponsible official of this government,” Appearing on the Ok Morning Rush this morning, December 18, 2025, Senator Snowe did not mince words, claiming that Sando is a “biggest embarrassment” and “spends more time protecting his job than doing his job.” The Senator’s criticism comes amid ongoing political tensions and public debate surrounding government performance.

Delivering a scathing rebuke of Liberia’s Deputy Minister for Technical Services at the Ministry of Information, Daniel O. Sando, Senator Snowe, appearing on the OK Morning Rush radio program, leveled several harsh criticisms against the Deputy Minister

Snowe described Sando as the “most irresponsible official” of the current administration.

He characterized Sando as a “biggest embarrassment,” alleging that the Deputy Minister “spends more time protecting his job than doing his job”.

The Senator condemned the Ministry of Information’s use of official government platforms to launch verbal attacks and “insults” against critical voices and national leaders, describing the behavior as a “gangster situation” that lowers the ministry’s standards.

Snowe’s remarks are part of a broader conflict in which he has threatened to sue the Liberian government for defamation. He claims the Ministry of Information (MICAT) falsely accused him of attempting to destabilize the country in a May 2025 release sent to international partners.

The friction between the two public officials intensified after Deputy Minister Sando previously fired back at Snowe on December 2, 2025, challenging the Senator’s own performance record and remarking, “If you can’t stand the heat, don’t get in the kitchen“. Sando argued that Snowe was using his Senate platform to attack a government institution rather than addressing issues affecting his constituents
