—-New Justice Ministry Autopsy Report Claims’

IPNEWS: The Liberian Ministry of Justice has officially confirmed that the death of former Boulevard Palace Hotel manager Anwar Futloo was a suicide, following the completion of a state-ordered autopsy. The case is now considered closed, unless new evidence emerges.

Anwar Futloo, a South African national and former General Manager of the Boulevard Palace Hotel in Monrovia.

The autopsy report found the cause of death to be “unnatural” and consistent with “self-directed action,” indicating suicide. He is reported to have ingested a cleaning substance.

The Ministry of Justice ordered the autopsy due to public rumors and unfounded allegations of foul play or a possible connection to a video allegedly featuring senior Liberian officials.

State pathologist Dr. Benedict Kolee performed the postmortem examination on January 7, 2025, with family members, law enforcement, and mortuary personnel present for transparency.

Following the autopsy results, the Liberian government has concluded the investigation.

The Ministry of Justice has appealed to the public for calm and to respect the privacy of the grieving family.
