Breaking News! Alarming Payroll Fraud Uncover at NICOL

IPNEWS: DN News is reporting that it has uncovered serious and mounting allegations of payroll fraud at the National Insurance Corporation of Liberia (NICOL), where senior officials are accused of manipulating and padding the institution’s official CSA payroll over the past several months.

According to documents and internal sources reviewed by DN News, Acting Managing Director Abdullah S. Swaray, Human Resources Manager Vessay S. Konneh (brother of Senator Amara Konneh), and Acting Board Chair Amsumanah Jallah are alleged to have altered NICOL’s payroll between October and December 2025.

Preliminary findings show that at least five individuals were reportedly added to the payroll illegally, despite not being employed or vetted by the Civil Service Agency. Sources say the NICOL Board of Directors has not taken action and is allegedly aware of, and covering up, the situation.

The alleged payroll tampering has raised significant concerns about potential fraud, abuse of public resources, and a deliberate effort to bypass established hiring procedures. The claims have sparked growing internal unrest and renewed calls for an independent investigation to protect NICOL’s integrity and rebuild public trust.

DN News made multiple attempts to contact the accused officials for comment, but none were reachable at the time of publication.

    This is a developing story.

IPNEWS is following deep into this and bring you details shortly.
