“Liberia not Terrorist Nation”, Police IG Coleman Plays down Bomb Threats on PH[P

IPNEWS: The Inspector General of Police Col. Gregory Coleman says Liberia is not a ‘terrorist nation’, vowing to deal with any acts of home-grown terrorist and potential attacks across Liberia.
Addressing a News conference in the wake of New Year’s Day bomb threats at the PHP Community, Col. Coleman said the Liberia National Police through its CSD was currently carrying out investigation of an alleged terrorist attacks in the PHP community which had instilled fears in the public.
The police IG said significant advances in the investigation and coordination with prosecution team on appropriate charges in keeping with Legislation of ‘Sabu crime’ were been considered.
He warned of serious consequences for individuals spreading rumors to instill fear in public will be charged and prosecuted in keeping with the law of the Republic, stressing that individuals found guilty will be dwell with
“Acts of terrorism must not and should not encourage here!”
“We will not take lightly these rumors, and we are going after all individuals that are involved in other to help safe our County from danger. This investigation is not limited to one or two individuals but rather a wider spectrum of individuals and no suspects are yet identified.” Col. Coleman stressed.
At the same the Police IG Coleman is urging the general public not to allow politics to divide the country as Liberia is the only common denominator no matter what the difference are whether in government or not.
