Liberian Court Affirms Alioune Kebe’s Clean Record

The Monrovia City Court has officially confirmed that Ambassador Alioune Kebe has no criminal allegations or convictions on record, contrary to public speculation.
In a clerk’s certificate issued on August 18, the Court revealed that a review of its records showed no complaint or criminal charge against Mr. Kebe. Instead, Mr. Kebe is a plaintiff in two separate actions filed against Papa Djibril Kebe and Bertrand M. Frankuit of Swiss Mentor Trust Commodity. The cases remain pending because the defendants have allegedly absconded and gone into hiding.
The certificate, signed by Clerk of Court Daniel McGill and approved by Stipendiary Magistrate Cllr. L. Ben Barco, further confirmed that Mr. Kebe has never been convicted of any crime in Liberia nor adjudicated guilty in any case. Copies of the writs of arrest and Ne Exeat Republica issued against the defendants were attached for reference.
“This shall constitute your legal and sufficient notice and authority,” the Court stated in its communication.
The clarification comes amid widespread rumors linking Mr. Kebe to alleged criminal activities. The statement sets the record straight, reaffirming his clean slate before the Liberian judiciary.
Alongside the court’s clarification, Ambassador Kebe has in recent months been actively supporting the growth of sports in Liberia.
In a demonstration of admiration for Liberia’s rising female athletes, Ambassador Kebe donated six hundred thousand Liberian dollars (L$600,000) to the Liberia Female National Soccer Team. The contribution recognized the team’s outstanding performance at the recently concluded West African Football Organization (WAFO) Tournament, where they secured an impressive third-place finish.
During a brief but heartfelt ceremony in Monrovia, Ambassador Kebe praised the players for their determination and resilience.
“This team has not only played with heart but has also inspired a nation. Their efforts at the WAFO tournament showed the world the strength and potential of Liberian women in sports,” said Ambassador Kebe. “This contribution is a token of appreciation and encouragement for what they have achieved and what lies ahead.”
Team captain expressed gratitude on behalf of her teammates:
“We are deeply thankful for this generous support. It means a lot to us to know that our efforts are being recognized. This will motivate us to train harder and aim even higher.”
The Liberia Football Association (LFA) also commended the gesture, calling it a vital boost for women’s football. “Support like this is what helps build a future for our athletes. We encourage others to follow Ambassador Kebe’s example,” the LFA noted.
The donation will go toward the team’s welfare as the squad begins preparations for upcoming international fixtures.
The WAFO tournament marked a milestone for Liberian women’s football, and Ambassador Kebe’s support underscores the growing recognition of the team’s role in promoting national pride and gender equality in sports.
