Police reported that blood was present at the scene.
Armed officers are now deployed to and barricaded Mr. Jackson’s residence on March 13, 2026, as the investigation continues.
Mr. Jackson initially agreed to cooperate but reportedly later became “hostile” toward investigators. He has denied any wrongdoing, though he allegedly attempted to move the body to a funeral home quickly before an autopsy could be performed
Under Liberian law, Samuel Jackson is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
The initial inspection of the body was conducted in the presence of representatives from the South African Embassy, as well as the Montserrado County coroner.
The incident has drawn significant attention across Liberia, with various groups calling for a transparent and impartial investigation.

Meanwhile, Samuel Jackson, has reacted strongly to what he termed “harassment and intimidation” by the Liberia National Police (LNP) following the death of his South African wife. Jackson broadcasted live on Spoon TV, emotionally describing his loss and challenging the authorities by stating,
“Let them arrest me. I want to go to jail,” in response to their presence at his home.
The situation escalated after Jackson used social media to plead for prayers, stating his wife had collapsed and was in critical condition at St. Joseph’s Catholic Hospital.
He expressed frustration that an ambulance was unavailable to transfer her for evacuation. He confirmed her passing early on March 13, 2026.
Shortly after the death was announced, the Liberia National Police named Samuel Jackson a “person of interest” in an alleged homicide investigation. Police Spokesman Sam Collins reported that preliminary observations showed a deep laceration on her head and bruises on her body.
Jackson’s reaction followed a wave of online discourse where some users accused him of physical abuse, while others characterized the police investigation as politically motivated “witch-hunting” or propaganda. Jackson himself has been a vocal critic of the ruling Unity Party-led government, leading to further political tension surrounding the case.
The police maintained a presence at Jackson’s residence to ensure a transparent investigation, citing the involvement of the South African embassy and the Montserrado County coroner during the initial inspection of the body
