“I have been given the responsibility as the Minister of Internal Affairs, and my core function is to ensure there is peace and reconciliation among our people. We must elevate our best cultural practices.
I witnessed a child dancing and soliciting money during the program, and I want to make it clear: from this point onward, no child under the age of eighteen (18) will be allowed to dance or solicit money without a very special reason. Any such behavior will be considered child labor, and there will be consequences.
Additionally, our cultural practices will be refined. While we are working on this, we have discovered that the Bush Master has been used to stop concession operations.
Madam Head of the Superintendent Council, please take my message to the rest of your colleagues across the 15 counties: Any concession area attacked by a Bush Master in any county will be banned from such traditional practices unless you provide a justifiable reason, which I believe you will not be able to. This is the directive President Boakai has given me.
When it comes to camping, if you place a Bush Master outside, we will not accept such practices.” Minister Francis Sakila Nyumahlin warns
